Saving my Life

🙏 "Thank you... for saving my Life."
💯 I never expected to say these words, but yesterday I did.
🏥 I was back at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust to see my consultant surgeon and receive the results of my latest PET scan.
😬 For 2.5 weeks, I lived in that uncertain space - where the mind can create stories that aren’t true.
😁 Thankfully, the scan was clear. My recovery continues to go well. And I am extremely grateful.
📙 Whilst I was there I gave my consultant a card which had a simple message: “Thank you… for saving my life.”
💯 When we say or write these words they do change us - we see the power of gratitude, the importance of human connections, and the courage it takes to face uncertainty.
👀 If you are out there waiting for results, navigating recovery, or holding onto hope - I see you.
🙏 And to everyone who supports us and holds us up - family, friends and clinicians - thank you.
