Slow down to Speed Up

šŸ’Æ Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.

šŸ„ 6 years ago today I had an upper tibial osteotomy.

šŸ¤• The cartilage on my left knee was badly damaged.

😰 It had become really painful to walk or run.

šŸ’‰ I needed to do something - hence the op.

šŸ™ It took at least 6 months to fully recover.

šŸš“ā€ā™‚ļø I now walk, cycle & row without pain.

šŸ™‚ I've adapted and avoid running.

šŸ’Æ 6 Years on I can safely say it was well worth 'slowing down' for 6 months to get myself back up to speed again. As someone who enjoys sport and an active lifestyle this was so important to me.Ā
