💯 Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.
🏥 6 years ago today I had an upper tibial osteotomy.
🤕 The cartilage on my left knee was badly damaged.
😰 It had become really painful to walk or run.
💉 I needed to do something - hence the op.
🙏 It took at least 6 months to fully recover.
🚴♂️ I now walk, cycle & row without pain.
🙂 I've adapted and avoid running.
💯 6 Years on I can safely say it was well worth 'slowing down' for 6 months to get myself back up to speed again. As someone who enjoys sport and an active lifestyle this was so important to me.
👏 👏 Thank you David Houlihan-Burne for doing such a fantastic Job.
For anyone out there looking for a knee specialist and orthopaedic surgeon he comes highly recommended
