I'm sure, like myself, many of you have received some interesting new books as gifts over the festive period.
As always you've got to start somewhere, so I've decided to read a couple of classics first:
🐧 ❄ 🐧 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑰𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 - an updated 10th anniversary edition telling a simple story about doing well under stress and the uncertainty of rapid change. A very on point fable about penguins having to deal with their home being devastated. It's completely relatable to business and is based on John Kotter's eight steps of change.
🏍 🛣 🏍 𝒁𝒆𝒏 & 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒄𝒚𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 - a 40th anniversary edition telling the story of a father and son's unforgettable motorcycle trip across America's Northwest. It's a modern classic about life, our existence, and the small essential triumphs that move us forward. I'm looking forward to re-experiencing this philosophical odyssey.
Here's a couple of reading quotes to finish on and inspire you to read those books you've just received:
👉“𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄.” - 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒈
👉“𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌. 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌.” - 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝑳𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒛
👉“𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒚; 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆’𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆.” - 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒎𝒂𝒏
