D-Day

🎯 This is my D-Day - right here, right now.

🏥 It’s Friday 4th July and I’m just going into the Royal Free Hospital for my Whipple surgery.

D-Day - dealing with adversity - Royal Free Hospital - Whipple Surgery

😬 I’m not going to lie - the thought of the actual surgery, which is long and complex, fills me with dread and makes my stomach churn.

😃 But I’m 100% focused on the positives:

1️⃣ The prognosis post surgery is good.

2️⃣ I’m fit which will help my recovery.

3️⃣ I don’t need to have Chemo.

4️⃣ I’m at the Royal Free Hospital - a centre of excellence for my treatment.

5️⃣ I have the most amazing support network of family and friends - for which I’m immensely grateful.

⚡️In fact that support is so amazing that I’m going to take all the positive vibes, thoughts and energy that you’ve all sent me and use them all right now - along with my own determination and strength.

💯 I really have got this - right here, right now.

💯 Now I’m going kick my uninvited intruder into touch!
